This mountain bike route is of the non-technical variety, taking you through the stunning forests above Betws-y-Coed. The terrain is predominantly undulating forest tracks with options for singletrack exploration if you have more time.

The ride climbs quite sharply at the beginning to bring you up to the North end of Llyn Elsi Reservoir. The scenery is absolutely incredible with views of the surrounding mountains, and there is an abundance of wildlife to further enhance the experience.

Riders will need a fairly good level of fitness to manage all the climbs on this route but as they are all on wide forest tracks, a competent beginner could easily enjoy this trail. Those looking for challenging singletrack will be disappointed and we recommend you check out the nearby Penmachno or Marin trails.
